Viola (Faye) Anderson Wills, 90, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at her home in Bronwood. Graveside funeral services will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 6, 2021, with Dr. Emil Askew officiating. Masks will be required, and we will follow social distancing guidelines.
Born April 6, 1930 in Terrell County, Mrs. Wills was a homemaker, enjoyed word search puzzles and bird watching. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she loved her beloved Georgia Bulldogs.
She was the daughter of the late J.O. Anderson and the late Mamie Soseby Anderson of Dawson. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Melvin Wills, Sr., son, Melvin Wills, Jr., daughter-in-law, Wanda McHan Wills, granddaughter, Teresa Lynn Wills, two sons-in-law, Paul Freeman, Sr. and Danny Heath, three sisters, Verna Walls, Wenona Keen, and Alda Duncan, and four brothers, Rufus Anderson, Gordon Anderson, Rex Anderson, and Weldon Anderson.
Survivors include her three daughters, Peggy Wills Freeman of Bronwood, Diane Wills Heath of Ellaville, and Sharon Wills Boman of Ellaville, seven grandchildren, Debbie Freeman, Paul (Julie) Freeman, Jr., Stacy (Darrell) Freeman Stephens, Marsha Heath, Doug (Robyn) Heath, John (Chasity) Boman, and Scott (Jennifer) Boman; 16 great-grandchildren, Spencer and Abigail Stephens, Caitlyn and Nicholas Freeman, Jacob Benford, Emily McClung, Abigail Rosenthal, Isaac Heath, Taylor, Joshua and Ellie Boman, Adam and Zachary Boman, Kenzie Mize, Michael and Mason Hinkley; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers-in-law, Johnny (Juanita) Wills of Cameron, NC, Don (Carolyn) Wills of Fritch, Texas, and Jimmy Wills of Dawson, and many nieces and nephews.
The family is receiving visitors at the home of Mrs. Wills at 286 Geise St. S, Bronwood, Georgia.
