Tommie Jean Ingram, 75, from Terrell County, Georgia passed away Sunday December 6, 2020.
A private graveside service will be held for the family in Dawson, GA with Pastor Chance Belk officiating. Mrs. Ingram, daughter of the late Alice and Frank Driver was born on January 15, 1945 in Early County, GA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dawson. She was preceeded in death by her brother, Bill (Betty Jo) Driver and sister, Agnes (Jimmy) Daniels. Mrs. Ingram is survived by her husband, Phil Ingram. Most recently on December 1, 2020 the couple celebrated a wedding anniversary of 60 years. Mrs. Ingram was the mother of Allen (Staci) Ingram and Tom (Renee) Ingram of Dawson. She was the sibling of Herman (Virginia) Driver of Americus, Peggy (the late Don) Holly of Quitman and James “Bubba” (Joy) Driver of Americus. She was the loving Maw-Maw of six granddaughters: Anna (Jameson) Kinley of Cumming, Hartley (Justin) Cobb of Columbus and Hensley Ingram, Alice Ingram, Isabela Ingram and Analyn Ingram all of Dawson. Maw-Maw is survived by her beloved four great grandchildren: Ellie, Liam and Max Kinley and Millie Cobb.
For 30 years she worked alongside her husband at Easy Pay Tire Store in Dawson. Tommie Jean was a loyal Christian and loving neighbor; it was customary for her to have an extensive prayer list for individuals in the community. She believed in the power of prayer and choice to lift others up in prayer often. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. Tommie Jean was a wonderful cook, she blessed her family with delectable homemade recipes to include biscuits, cornbread and butternut cake. She was a talented gardener, cultivating an impressive garden full of a variety of flowers, fruits and vegetables.
