Dawson, GA --Mrs. Glenda Lovett Digby of Dawson died on Friday, December 14, 2018 at her residence in Dawson after a lengthy illness. The funeral will be held at the graveside in Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.with Rev. Raymond Andrews officiating.
Mrs. Digby was born on May 20, 1937 in Dooly County, Georgia, daughter of the late Richard Wiley Lovett and Elva Elizabeth Blalock. She had been a resident of Dawson since l990 moving here from Pulaski County, Georgia.
She was an Accounting Technician with Albany Primary Healthcare, retiring after 10 years of service with the firm.
Glenda was a member of the Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church in Dawson. She was previously a former facilator for MS Support of Greater Albany; WMU Director for Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church; Associate WMU Director for Summerhill Baptist Association; Georgia WMU Prayer Coordinator for Summerhill Baptist Association; former Youth Sunday School teacher and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, James T. "Tom" Digby of Dawson, two daughters, Louann D. Poupard (Tommy) of Dawson, and Donna D. Bernstein (John) of Brooksville; a sister Nell L. Jones of Hawkinsville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
