Dawson, GA --Donald Franklin Holley of Quitman, GA, formerly of Dawson, died at his residence on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Visitation and funeral service will be held at Harvey
Funeral Home, on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, visitation at 2:00 P.M. and funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Marty Carnes officiating.
Mr. Holley was a native of Miller County, born on April 15, 1941, son of the late Hilton Richard Holley and the late Nettie Meeks Holley.
He had been a resident of Quitman for the past 20 years, a member of the Elam Baptist Church, and was a retired General Manager of the Coastal Plains Farmers Co-Op in Quitman.
Donald was an avid fan of all sports. He enjoyed watching games with all members of his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Peggy Driver Holley of Quitman; three daughters, Donna H. Swann (Andy) of Quitman, Darlene H. Swann of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and
Deeanne H. Duncan (Bart) of Blackshear; a son, Donald Lamar Holley of Madison, FL; eight-grandchildren, Austin Swann of Quitman, Blake Swann of Thomasville, Denver Swann of Valdosta, Destiny Duncan of Pooler, Donald Duncan and Taylor Duncan, both of Blackshear, Brendon Holley and Madison Holley, both of Madison , FL, two great-grandchildren; and brother, Hilton Richard Holley, Jr. (Anita) of The Villages, FL.
