Laura Jean Lindsey Timmerman, 73, of Dawson passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Funeral services will be held at Harvey Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 with Rev. Charlie Bridges officiating. Interment will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence.
Laura Jean was born on November 29, 1939 to the late Irby Lindsey and the late Annie Laurie Trotman Lindsey. During her lengthy career, she worked as a bookkeeper at Belk Hagin and as Assistant Operations Officer at the Bank of Dawson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawson. Laura Jean was devoted to her family and loved them dearly.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 49 years, Wilbur Lee “Buddy” Timmerman, and her son, William Morris “Billy” Timmerman. Survivors include sons, Michael Lee “ Mike” Timmerman (Sally) of Suwanee, Alton Lindsey “Al” Timmerman (Angela) of Camilla, and Thomas Wilbur “Tommy” Timmerman (Karen) of Dawson; grandchildren, William Bailey Timmerman and Bailey Lindsey Timmerman of Suwanee, Jacob Thomas Timmerman and James Kaleb Timmerman of Dawson, and Bryan Eugene Lay of Camilla; and brother, Dr. Irby Lehman Lindsey (Yvonne) of Johns Creek.
