Florence Hazel Hale Moore, 91, of Bronwood, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Lillian G. Carter Health and Rehabilitation in Plains. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Harvey Funeral Chapel, with visitation from 12:30-2:00 P.M. before the service. Interment will be held in Bronwood City Cemetery. Rev. Horace Keen will officiate.
Hazel was born in Smithville on July 10, 1920 to the late Clarence R. Hale and the late Vera Clark Hale. She was a homemaker and lived in Terrell County for over seventy years. She was a member of the Bronwood United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Choir and the United Methodist Women.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Vance D. Moore. Survivors include her daughter, Emily Lewy (Gerry) of Dahlonega; sons, James Ray Moore (Deb) of Dothan, AL, Clarence David Moore (Brenda) of Bronwood, Gary Moore of Bronwood, and Andy Moore (Ruth) of Bronwood ; sister, Annette Knott of Cordele; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
